General Information. Since Fall 2000, I have been posting student grades via a secure website run by Gradesource.com. The site allows you to check your up-to-the-minute standing in the class. Here's how it works: Shortly after you hand in your first graded work, I will send you, via e-mail, a "secret code," which is generated randomly (thus ensuring your privacy). You can then use this secret code to check your scores by going to the Gradesource web site (you will also be able to see how you're doing relative to others in the class). The advantage of having your scores online is two-fold. First, you will always know approximately how well you're doing on a cumulative basis. Second, you will be able to see if your scores are entered accurately by checking your actual scores with the recorded scores. FOR THIS REASON, YOU SHOULD ALSO SAVE ALL GRADED WORK.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Automatic deductions, if applicable, are not included in your online grade calculation. I need to do this manually. So, if you have automatic deductions, don't forget that these could have a very negative impact on your actual grade.

NOTES: Grades may not be available until the second or third week of class, so if the links below don't work, it most likely means I haven't yet posted any grades online. If you don't receive your secret code by e-mail by the third week of the quarter, please let me know at tclim@calstatela.edu. It's probably because I could not read the e-mail address you gave me at the beginning of the quarter. If you don't have an e-mail account, let me know in person that you need your code.

NOTE: If you need to access your grades from a previous course, please let me know. Typically, access to old courses is automatically suspended after a few months of inactivity. However, it is possible to temporarily renew most or all courses.
