Check here for information on class assignments. For POLS 5550, students are required to complete a written analysis and evaluation of the assigned readings every week. You can download information and guidelines by clicking on the link below. In addition to the weekly analysis, students are required to complete a number of “independent” assignments, which are designed to supplement the research project. Guidelines for these assignmens are also available below.
	Guidelines on the literature, thesis statement and evidence -- This handout, distributed in class on November 3, contains very basic information on writing a literature review and thesis statement and on how to incorporate evidence into you research papers. It is based on student research proposals. It is critical that students read and thoroughly understand the material in the handout.
