INTRODUCTION

Paul H. Rosenthal is a professor of information systems at California State University, Los Angeles. He has a BS in Ed and an MA from Temple University, an MBA from UCLA, and a DBA from USC; and has been active in the Information Systems, Computing Science, and Scientific Computing areas for 60 years as a programmer, manager, consultant, and academic. His current research interests encompass the manual and computerized infrastructure aspects of mission-critical enterprise systems.
