The esl-lounge contains a site guide and a materials guide for easy navigation. The content is divided according to the level of the students. Within each level, the information is divided into categories (pair activities/surveys, flashcards and role cards, worksheets, games, error correction, and vocabulary). Each category contains lessons/activities that utilize the stated materials. This website also provides an interactive page in which teachers are able to voice their opinion by taking a poll or survey. The information presented is usually cited correctly.
Neil Coghlan, the copyrighted author of the esl-lounge, does not specifically express his opinions on teaching methodologies, except that the materials are geared toward communicative learning. However, the materials he provided indicate his priorities concerning communicative learning. For example, Coghlan provides a section on error correction possibly because he believes that students should practice how to spot and correct their errors. Also, this website suggest teachers to look into resources in ebay, its sponsor, so some of its content may be a mask for advertising.
Overall, the esl-lounge is current and user-friendly. Its links are updated regularly and complement its theme. The layout of the page is straightforward, although the ever-present ebay advertisement limits the horizontal space of the page. There are many graphics on the web page, but the balance of text and images is good. The information is offered for free so there is no access cost. There is no option for text only or a suggested browser for better viewing. However, it is easy to view the web documents because they do not require special software for viewing.

The eslflow website provides lesson plans, games, and activities for teaching elementary, pre-intermediate, and intermediate-level ESL students. Its author, Peter Snashall, states that the objective of this website is creating a resource for researching ESL/EFL ideas and creating lessons/courses as quickly as possible.
The layout of the eslflow is simple, giving easy, uncomplicated access to its users. The lessons are divided by category/topic but can also be accessed by the type of skills, teaching techniques, and activities (e.g. role play, listening, writing). The content of the website are very useful to its target audience, since it was created for practical teaching purposes. This website is user-friendly in that, although it does not provide an option for text only viewing, one can view this website clearly using Internet Explorer. This website also contains a good balance of text and images, does not charge access fee for obtaining its information, and contains links that generally complement its themes.
However, the eslflow does not provide the information on when it was last updated. Based on the number of links evaluated, up to 15% of its links may be dead, broken, or outdated. The interactivity of this website is low; only a few of its web pages are interactive (e.g. an elementary grammar test). The Adobe Acrobat reader is required to download many of its lesson plans and materials. Also, the objectivity of this website may be biased in that it is sponsored by other ESL resource companies and ESL websites in the commercial domain.
