Seoyoung Lee's Personal Information

Hello, my name is Seoyoung Lee.  I’m a graduate student of California State University Los Angeles, majoring in TESOL (Teaching English to the Speakers of Other Language).  I was born and raised in Korea.  I graduated from Ewha women's University in Seoul and got a bachelor’s degree in Korean language and literature.

I have struggled with English for a long time, and still I encounter occasional problems that English and American culture bring.  However, I’d like to help the English learners who are experiencing much difficulty than I am.  That’s why I take TESOL as my profession.  I believe learning English should focus on communication skills rather than a kind of literacy based on forms and rules.

So, come and take a seat on my English couch!

    Carlos Sallas’ Personal Information

Hello. My name is Carlos Sallas. I was born in the state of Morelos in Mexico. I graduated in Mexico as a Teacher of Elementary School and a Teacher of Biology in Middle School. I also got a Certificate for Overseas Teachers of English issued by the Local Examinations Syndicate of the University of Cambridge and now I am studying my Master in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in the California State University Los Angeles (CalStateLA).

I used to work in my country as a teacher in elementary and middle school where I also taught English as a foreign language in Mexico. Now I am working for the Los Angeles Unified School District in the U.S.A. as an elementary school teacher. All my students are English language learners and I use all the strategies, techniques and methodology that I am learning in Cal State L. A. to help them learn this language.

In the future I would like to go back to Mexico, or maybe to another country, and apply all what I have learned in developing or running programs to teach English as a foreign language.
