About the Author

Providing an opportunity to explore the nature and values of the visual arts was the basic motivation behind the development of this web site. It was designed to be "user friendly" and as practical as possible. No attempt has been made to provide ornamentation or decorative components. Sections are provided within a simple and direct format to permit the greatest ease for both reading and downloading. The content, of course, is based on my conception of what is fundamental about the visual arts, which stems from my long and varied experiences related to both research and teaching.
