KIN 507 Online Center

Prerequisites: KIN 503 or consent of instructor; undergraduate major in Kinesiology or related discipline (Must be completed within first 12 units of the student's approved graduate program.).

Students enrolled in KIN 507 -- Cultural Analysis of Physical Activity (section 01) are required to read the materials and follow the instuctions found in the KIN 507 related web pages (see links below and to the left).

The Cultural Analysis of Physical Activity (KIN 507) course is an examination of sport and physical activity as a sociological phenomenon with emphasis on diverse populations in an urban setting. Participants will explore their personal experience as members of both dominant and subordinate social groups (sex, race, class, age, motor ability and culture). Emphasis is placed on synthesizing the theory with practical applications. Students are responsible for self-directed study and application.
