| Quiz
on readings for weeks I & II --
|
|
May I suggest that you do NOTattempt to read all the required
materials in one session. Six to 10 pages per reading session with note
taking and practice of the review questions, works well for me. Test
your reading and understanding pace and plan your reading sessions
accordingly.
|
|
By the time you complete your reading assignment you should become
familiar with the discussed ancient civilizations, events of historical
significance, and their time line. You should be able to identify the
different historical figures and their contributions, and demonstrate an
understanding of the links and relevance of cultures, traditions, and
behaviors of the past to present day thinking and decision making
practices.

|
Readings On-Line: Week IV-- Lec. 06 & 07
|
Ch. 6, "The Renaissance and the Reformation"
(pp. 108-132);
Ch. 7 "The Age of Science (1560-1688) and Enlightenment
(1688-1789) (pp. 133-162)
|
|
By now you should know whether you're comfortable with reading 6, 10 or
15 pages per session. If you managed to earn a "C" or better
on the quiz, keep perfecting your learning strategy. If you were not
successful on quiz #1, try something else. Let's set up a meeting to
discuss additional learning strategies. |
|
The goals and objectives for this reading assignment are
similar to those discussed earlier. |
