NOTES FROM CURATOR REGARDING COPYRIGHT, ETC:

As stated above, Dr. Manuel Aguilar gives permission for his images to be used for academic purposes with a credit indicating his copyright or ownership or taking of the images. Images owned by Dr. Aguilar are indicated by a "© Dr. Manuel Aguilar" reference in the image resource field on the information page of each image. Perhaps around 7% of the images were digitized from the CSULA Art Department slide collection. These may not be printed without the permission of the copyright holder (information on sources unavailable to us). If anyone finds an image for which they hold the copyright, please contact me and I will immediately remove the image from the website or I will keep the image with the copyright owner's permission and give credit to the copyright holder on the website with the owner's instruction for its further use.

There MUST be errors in information given on this site and indeed a great lack of information about many of the images. If anyone finds misinformation or can provide more precise information or would want to even write a commentary for a particular image, please email me your suggestions. I will run the corrections or additions past Dr. Aguilar and I will add these to the image information pages with his approval. We would be most grateful for your input.

I have used Image AXS Pro software in the presentation of these images because of its ease of use in placing images and information on the web and because our students can print out blocks of thumbnail images efficiently for their study purposes. We will be adding many more images in the future as Dr. Aguilar brings more of his slide collection of 20,000 or so images from storage in Guadalajara.

Thank you for using our site.
