North doorway known as the "porciuncula" of the very small church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, located near Assisi, in the place Saint Francis founded his religious order and had supernatural revelations and experianced the apparition of Christ and the Virgin Mary. Pope Honorius III approved indulgencia plenaria for all the faithful that pray in that church. The Fransicans gave to the northern facades of their churches the significance of porciunculas, and then the indulgencia plenaria or Jubilee was extended to the different locations, using these portals on special feast days.
