Published in Mexico by Juan Pablos in 1555. It was reviewed by Fray Bernardino de Sahagun and Fray Francisco de Lintorne. The last page of the dictionary, like other important documents written during the colonial period in Mexico, credits all persons involved in the production and distribution of the dictionary.

Brief translation reads: "In honor and glory to our lord Jesus Christ and to his mother, here is the conclusion of the present work composed by Fray Alonso de Molina. This document was printed in the great and loyal city of Mexico (in the house of Juan Pablos), with the permission of the illustrious Don Luis de Velasco, viceroy and governor of New Spain." This document continues to credit Fray Francisco de Lintorne and Fray Bernardino de Sahagun and concludes by giving us the day in which the dictionary was printed. Printed on May 4, 1555.
