From Historia Tolteca-Chichimeca. 1550.
After the Olmeca-Xicallanca, Cholula was taken over by the Tolteca-Chichimeca - more commonly known as the Toltecs - in AD 1292. Finally, in AD 1359, the kingdom of Huexotzingo, which was in a perpetual war with the Aztecs, took over this, the holiest site in Mexico.
