From Historia Tolteca-Chichimeca. 1550 .
During the era of Teotihuacan's rise and development, Cholula, in the Valley of Puebla, also thrived. Cholula was also considered a Tollan by the Aztecs. Curiously, about the same time as the burning of Teotihuacan, Cholula likewise underwent depopulation. During the Postclassic period, however, the city was rebuilt and expanded. It seems that Cholula controlled, or at least was in close contact with, the southern part of the Basin, while Tula dominated the north. |
