West of Pyramid B is the so-called Palacio Quemado or Burnt Palace. Burned it was in a major conflagration although we cannot be sure when or how it happened. This is an enormous 91 m x 59 m building. It was laid out with 3 large colonnaded halls facing south onto a long colonnaded gallery or vestibule with several smaller rooms in the rear. Each of these halls has a sunken central patio flanked by columns.
