| The evidence of Maya influence in Xochicalco begins with the long known Maya style architecture reliefs at the site of Xochicalco. The works of art at both Cacaxtla and Xochicalco suggest that elites throughout Mesoamerica may have retreated to isolated sites like these, where they left a new, hybridized material culture. The figure portrayed in this relief shows great ressemblance with the rules depicted in the altar Q of Copan. |
