To a visitor entering from the west, two of the most impressive structures instantly invite exploration: the Temple of the Inscriptions, with its unusual five doorways, and the multiroom Palace, with its unique four story towers. To the north of the Palace and its platform stairway is a plaza with a ball court. The north side of the plaza is bounded by a series of small temples.
