Most of the stelae in the main plaza, including Stela C and F, are monuments to "18 Rabbit", who ruled, accordíng to the hieroglyphic texts, as thírteen in a succession, from A.D. 695 to 738. Collectively, the portraits of 18 Rabbit and the accompanying hieroglyphic texts represents the multifaceted public image of a king, projected in Copán's principal civic space.
