Many of these murals are highly representative, and may have been produced with the aid of stencils. The murals vary in style and quality, but share certain features. Like wallpaper, they consist of flat, repeated designs on the porches of rooms. The mural colors are mostly bright reds, blues, greens, and yellow. In this particular mural we see a procession of jaguars blowing conch shells that drip water, a fact that suggests a sacrificial statement related to fertility rituals.
