The Group of the Columns is the largest of the palace compounds and the most refined in proportion. The Hall of the Columns is the most beautiful of Mitla structures. Like the House of the Governor at Uxmal, the building has a subtle outward lean, which visually alleviates the weight of its overhanging moldings.
