System IV is a complex that consists of a main pyramid, an enclosed court and an accessing platform.
With System IV, for the first time we have some ornamentation on the facade. It is a talud-tablero temple similar to structures in Teotihuacan. System IV has been considered an amphitheater, where supplicants would gather in the closed court while attending rites performed on the principal structure.
